Actually I was just reading that Venezuelan oil was nationalized in 1976 long before Chavez was in office, and all foreign companies--including ExxonMobil--were more than fairly compensated.
If the oil majors were happy with their compensation I'd reckon they twi$ted arms. Chavez upped the ante....they pulled out and sued. Chavez wanted to feed his people, rather than the ob€$e Wa££ $tr€€t f€£in€$.

When I read that Maduro was sent to New York City I immediately thought that it was to cause trouble for Mamdani, but I might really be wrong.
