In one of the UK’s more disturbing shifts towards authoritarianism, two supporters of Palestine were convicted in June of harassing an MP because they dared challenge her on Gaza.
She's a racist too. I doubt she would have taken legal action against white women if they'd held her to account as an MP. The way they have been treated in this process is disgraceful.
I am glad their convictions were overturned, but it was terrible how they were treated in the first place. It's appalling how people can distribute leaflets criticizing their MPs' stance on various issues, and it is framed as them making ad hominem attacks on that person. Not to mention, one of the women was wrongfully denied medication she needed and they were arrested and prosecuted.
What hope for a humane UK policy for Palestinians when over 65 MPs are members of Labour Friends of Israel and have accepted money from them for their election campaigns? Keir Starmer, David Lammy, Rachel Reeves, Yvette Cooper and Wes Streeting amongst them — it’s disgusting. Imagine the uproar if we had a Reform friends of Russia. There's a Conservative Friends of Israel and a Lib Dem Friends of Israel too, by the way. There's Israel for you, buying influence and favour and corrupting our politicians of whatever colour.
In WWII, most Zionists were effectively Friends of Germany; they obstructed Jewish and non-Jewish organisations that tried to rescue Jews from Europe, but collaborated with Eichmann and Nazi organisations to ensure a small Zionist elite was able to emigrate to Palestine. The Kindertransport scheme was opposed by Zionists, for example. Zionists happily used all the mounting evidence of the Holocaust to justify their scheme for Israel in Palestine after the war, to the disgust of non-Zionist Jews.
I am glad the appeal worked amd concerned by comments from both judges. I want to add, though, I think I saw a video of this event, and did think it looked harassy, but I think in the light of what you have said this was because it gave no hint that the MP herself had tracked down and confronted them as the initiation of it. They did seem to be way more agited than one would expect when just follwing someone to ask them questions. The most inflamatory part may have been Alexel's approach, what was said then and we just saw the outcome of that. I doubt the original initiation bybthe MP was even recorded ss it sounds like an ambush by them. It reminds me of the rage-bait videos where people deliberately wind someone up like a driver, and then only film themselves being reasonable and framing the person who they have enraged and are filming for clicks as the crazy one.

What the heck was that judge thinking? They’re not fit for the bench.
Well said. Talk about not being impartial
Shouldn't Labour and Conservative Friends of Israel now both be proscribed as agents of a foreign power?
Zionism is a racist crime, read “resolution 3379”, aside from scaring people with their terrorism, zionist have no legal rights to go after anyone.
If they do, they can and should get sued for damages.
Keep up the good work and Thank you for the good news and for sharing.Ricky.
The message is clear. Free speech is free but don’t say anything to politicians that they may not like, or risk a police warning.
England needs regime change. ☘️
