The Labour Party needs to stop blaming the NHS for Tory failings. The NHS does not need "reform" (they mean further privatisation), it needs a reversal of 43 years of dreadful neoliberal reforms. NHS privatisation has been nothing short of a disaster and continued outsourcing of services would be sheer madness. If we can depend on the Labour Party for one thing, it should surely be protecting the NHS, and yet Starmer and Streeting are making me genuinely nervous. Streeting's masterplan is to enlist the help of the private sector to reduce the colossal NHS waiting list. Only there are a few tiny problems here...
