All of our content is free to read.

You can expect typically about ten newsletters per month.

Payment to our newsletter is and always will be entirely optional. The only paywalled content on Council Estate Media are articles that are automatically archived two weeks after publication.

Council Estate Media was initially a Blogger website focusing primarily on working class issues from a UK perspective. Although it sometimes covered foreign policy and geopolitics, it was never the main focus. However, this changed with the Gaza genocide.

We made an ethical decision to make the Gaza genocide the central focus of the newsletter until it was over. Doing anything else would have felt wrong.

The problem is the people who read the newsletter for the domestic stuff and the party politics were not necessarily the same people who read for the foreign policy and geopolitics. With this in mind, we have set up a separate newsletter, Anti-imperial Nexus, to focus on those other issues so please subscribe! Don’t forget to also subscribe to Laura’s newsletter Normal Island News for political satire.

Anti-imperial Nexus is where we cover what is happening in China, Russia, Iran and other hotspots that could trigger a global war.

For the time being, we will cover Gaza on Council Estate Media because because we want to see this through to the end.

Once a ceasefire has been agreed, Council Estate Media will focus mainly on party politics and working class issues. All foreign policy and geopolitics will be posted to Anti-imperial Nexus. You are free to subscribe to both newsletters or whichever one you prefer. These newsletters are payment optional to ensure no one is excluded.
