I can assure you. As someone who lived in South Florida, Cubans are not the most economically viable or a people who assimilate quite well. They refuse to speak English and their standardized test scores are the lowest in the U.S. They don't value education as much as articles like these tend to make us believe. Tourism in South Florida was practically thrown at the Cubans to manage, regulate, and control. The many hotels, bars, and restaurants are all in the employ of Cubans mostly; all they have to do is be nice. Aaaaand. They're not. They're rude.
