Hahah all these good little lapdog, should wake up and know their places. Jewish supremacist will not rest until everyone is silent…”blud libel” 🤣🤣 I think I could find 1000 accounts calling for the death of Palestinians within the next five minutes. Pretty sure Stefan Pollard (any relation to Jonathan pollard?) couldn’t find a single zio or israeli account without that….

What have I been repeatedly saying about Jewsmarrying into power people. O'Brien may not be real power but he has a voice and people listen cause they think these people are in the know. Now we find out he's another one married to a Jew and he has been by the zionist side. God give me strength.

It was an anecdote "from a listener" conveniently allowing him to distance himself from those views if, as has proved, necessary to try and save his job.

What's at stake here is continued existence of the collective West, hence the stepped up repression and the historic role of Zionism as a tool of imperialism now comes into its own. Let's be clear, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with Jews or being Jewish or indeed, anti-semitism, Jews are as much scapegoats as any other convenient minority, in these desparate times for a capitalism in dire straits. Now more than ever, it's time for the left to stand up and be counted! We need to defend the right of Palestine Action to protest and indeed, the rightto protest, period!

What exactly is the problem with Mehdi Hassan??

Mehdi Hassan I do not trust. He’s desperate to be an insider in the US political-media complex and is aware that now is an opportune moment to appear to be pro-Palestine in order to build one’s brand as an independent opinion entrepreneur with a so-called ‘progressive’ audience. Owen Jones folded and threw Corbyn under the bus, buying into the Labour antisemitism scam like many other millennial lefties whose brains had been scrambled by identity politics. But I believe he is genuinely and passionately a defender of the Palestinian people. And although he will never openly repent his role in undermining Corbynism, he is currently doing good work highlighting Israel’s atrocities and the complicity of western governments and mainstream media.

Genuinely hilarious and couldn’t have happened to a more insufferable person. May he regret the day he ever pandered to Zionists, weaponised antisemitism and threw his colleagues under the bus

Having been an NHS whistle blower and lost everything (my career, the job I loved, my health) all for nothing. because even though my whistle blowing complaint was upheld, nothing changed and patients are still at risk. So I think I understand how James O'Brien must feel, he loves his job, he lives for his job. He is a bit arrogant because he's incapable of admitting he was wrong about Jeremy Corbyn or to say anything positive about Dianne Abbot. But if lots of people tell you how great you are all the time, pride and arrogance follow.

I think he chose not to support Sangita Myska because he is a coward and maybe because he thought it would make no difference to the Palestinians. I wonder if he told her that. I had colleagues ring me when I blew the whistle and say they knew I was right, but they couldn't support me as they were too scared to lose everything. We throw around the word coward, but its really really hard to be brave when that bravery must last your lifetime and no one is ever going to understand- quite the opposite in fact!

So I think I understand his cowardice, he knows its a genocide, he knows he should speak out. And he did try, and even that has led to him being attacked- and we don't know about the inevitable death threats, threats to his family, etc etc. My employers,(having told me that I would be made to suffer- exactly those words) stalked me on social media and reminded me that they knew where I lived, where my children went to school and even noted they had seen my dogs on instagram. I was terrified, every day, every night. It felt like I couldn't breathe. I left and worked in a different area and for a private company in the end but it took more than 5 years not to cringe at shadows and start awake at any sound in the street. And that's what he's facing but much more malign and far reaching if he says anything else.

I'm not trying to excuse him- just explain I know how it feels to be that frightened-it can be petrifying, literally you feel frozen and unable to act.

BUT he should speak out, he's got good examples of how to keep his family and income safe, such as Mehdi Hussain, to follow. He is much loved by his fans and I'm sure he could set up a Zeteo like company here or join up with another independent media company. He could join the Trawl podcast, who do speak out. Proving that it is possible to speak out and still work!

I hope he does. He is very good at what he does, and he could make a difference, maybe even help change the world. But he better act fast, the genocide is reaching its conclusion now and soon all those cowards out there, will only ever be remembered for not having the courage to do anything. Many will have to live with the guilt for life, sady many more ar incapable of guilt.

It is time these awful anti-anti-semites stopped doing so much to make anti-semitism seem logical. The argument that horrible people doing horrible things must always be admired just because they choose to be Jews is transparently flimsy. Anyone who cannot see that horribleness is always horrible, no matter who's inflicting it, can themselves only be horrible. The simple fact will always be: decent people win themselves a reputation for being decent by doing decent things. Jewish people who bravely criticise Israel and its supporters do more to make anti-semitism indefensible than all the puffed up, hate-filled racists who whinge that horribleness is somehow their right. It isn't, it never will be, and you'd have to be too horrible to have any real idea of how vilely horrible you are to not see how hateful you're making yourself.

O'Brien also managed to lodge in there the claim that BOTH sides's children are taught to dehumanize the other, of course. Wrong, asshole.

I agree, O’Brien is not ‘on the Left’. He’s not a centrist either. The Overton Window in Great Britain has shifted considerably to the right and so-called ‘Centre-Left’ or ‘Centrists’ are within the ‘Centre-Right’ part of the political spectrum - if they’re judged on the economic and foreign policies they are implementing. This current version of the Labour Party is further right, on almost every measure, than the Cameron-Osborne Tory Govt and even the John Major government. Their only somewhat “Left-ish” agenda is merely the front-facing socially Liberal IdPol & ‘Culture War’ rhetoric with which they (and their ashamed-feeling voters) attempt to define themselves as “not the same as a Tory govt”.

Being “TO the left” of, let’s say, Trump, which isn’t difficult, is not the same as “ON the left”. There’s a big difference.

Zionists don’t consider just Palestinians to be cockroaches, Zionists and Judaism in general consider all goyims to be cockroaches. They are, after all, gods chosen people and we are not. It’s difficult to discern and real differences between Zionism, Islam and Nazism. Just substitute Aryan for gods chosen people or people of the prophet and all three are pretty much the same thing.

bevin's avatar

Zionism and Nazism are clearly related, both being expressions of the racist theories of the C19th. Islam, whether you like it or not is something very different, although there are within the Islamic tradition, just as there are in Christian and Jewish traditions, heresies tending towards racism. It is these salafist/wahabi ideas which the imperialists have taken up, amplified and sponsored- hence Al qaeda ISIS, the current Syrian regime etc- they do not represent the ideas of the quran or the beliefs of main stream muslims either sunni or shi'i. The truth is that, as the experience of christian and jewish communities over a millenium or more within muslim ruled states shows, islam is a religion of tolerance and generosity.

Paul Jackson's avatar

No, it isn’t. It is entirely exclusionary, either you’re with us or your agin us. There is nothing welcoming or comforting in Islam. It’s an ideology based on conquest and the exploitation of those conquered. It expressed no sympathy, no empathy and no fellowship towards those who are not members of the tribe. I’ll be blunt. Everything which does not follow the rules is punishable by death and all in the name of a fucking piece of shit who was a child rapist and, most likely, had an incestuous relationship with his mother, Hagar. Neither I nor anyone else need instructions in morality or ethics from this vile ideology.

It's a shame. This isn't about religion, any religion, it's about class, about society, about interests. So you can badmouth any religion and find somebody or some creed that takes what it wants from any religion in order to further some interest or other. Follow the money if you want to know what's really going on!
