The parasite infesting West Asia with rape torture larceny mass murder and administrative executions is curtailing everyone’s right to speech religion and protest.
It's the old tactic of ''wind 'em up, so we have an excuse to terrorise them''.
All ''sold'' for our protection by our public servants; the ironic role reversal has been ongoing for millennia and so long accepted that we ignore it - ''cognitive dissonance'' anyone!?
This is how fascist tyranny is maintained as ''normal''. The corrupted ''agents'' can only repeat the same basic process updated with ''modern'' tools.
They will continue to poke, bully and suppress us until we dismiss them and/or they achieve massive destruction and widespread civil conflict.
Their deluded mindset points only to ever-deeper tyranny in a self-perpetuating ''entropic spiral'' (as history has always shown us, never give power to those who seek it)
Airlane 1979--Neither the U.S. nor the UK fund Iran, nor do they dismantle their democratic rights to benefit it. Human rights abuses anywhere should be opposed, but there is no excuse for intervening in or making war on any country for any reason. (And while you're talking about conditions in Iran, don't forget to mention that it's unlikely that half a century of western destabilization of that country has encouraged it to be open and democratic.) I'll allow Iranians to protest and change their own system as they see fit. For now each of us should be howling about what our own governments are doing to aid and abet the Zionist/Nazi regime.
This police action really needs to be seen as one revealing moment in a wider British governance pattern going back decades. The Big Oil owned UK have brutally controlled any hint of actual democratic socialism through state deployment of violence of military intelligence assets and softer spycops rape-‘seductions’ since Thatcher’s Revolution in 1979. The Met and other police forces can just be more open in their behaviour since the passing of Priti Patel’s Covert Human Intelligence Sources (Criminal Conduct) Act of 2021. An Act which, amongst other heinous legalisation of human rights abuses, legalised the suspension of Habeus Corpus for those who are deemed members of any proscribed organisation such as Stop Oil or Palestine Action. Best read it on Hansard whilst you still can. Firewarned is forearmed. As the era of corporate global oil ends, and with it, easy loans for all, this kind of violent state crackdown on protests against our diminishing human, civil and social rights, is set to become more violent.
I'm a Brit and it's obvious our right-wing Labour government is gradually dismantling democratic rights. However... the UK has nothing to compare with the oppression of the Iranian government (or, obviously, the apartheid Israeli state). Not even the worst British prison conditions of the last half century approach the horrors of Evin Prison in Tehran which, according to many reports, inflicts intense overcrowding along with torturous solitary confinement that would never be permitted here (and I write from long experience in the UK). Let's hold the UK, Israel, the USA and Iran to the same standards of democracy, criminal justice, prison conditions and anything else that matters. Otherwise we have no answer when imperialists ask why the Left doesn't give a damn about the working class in Iran.
Some have for sure... but let's be accurate and not say 'many' without justification. What proportion have died, and from what causes?
"Since 2017, 15 immigration detainees have died in immigration detention centres, and 16 have died in prisons in England and Wales since 2000. The Home Office has released data annually on the deaths of immigration detainees in immigration detention centres since 2017." ('Deaths of immigration detainees', Inquest 3 March 2026) Does, say, China release that data? Maybe it does, but my brief search online for 'deaths in asylum detention in china' found no official or NGO statistics, unlike for the UK.
"traitorous"? Nationalism and patriotism are dead ends for the working class, pitting the workers of one capitalist state against another - or against immigrants.
Lisa is pointing out the extreme hypocrisy of politicians who accuse protestors of being funded by China or Iran, all while being bankrolled by Israel. I say, right on, Lisa!!
Being a traitor in a capitalist state is not necessarily something to be ashamed of. Our government and political parties are funded by capitalism, which is as British as sliced bread and as global as Microsoft. During UK imperialist wars, socialists are openly defeatist, which can lead to prison sentences. The hoo-hah over foreign funding largely misses the point, as capitalism cares nothing about nation states.
"2,700 people have now been detained under terrorism legislation for holding signs or attending silent vigils." I hope every one of those 2,700 people has complained to their MP.
Tucker Carlson [yes that MAGA nut] actually got it spot on during his interview with the disappointing Victoria Derbyshire, on the Laura Kuntsberg show when he said the UK was 'enslaved' by Israel.
thank you ricky, nothing to add to what you said.

Since we can’t exercise our own free speech in our own countries, we must rely on Israel to do something about itself….
Fuck Shabana Mahmood, she’s to blame for this crackdown on the peaceful protests
This is beyond ridiculous. And to mention intelligence makes it into a farce.

You need to include UK asylum detention centres where many people have died from denial of health care.

Unbelievable
The solution to this is to recognise that the entire system of UK political governance has failed.
Then we can talk about replacing it.
Nothing will be achieved by individual campaigns because the establishment know how to practise divide and rule.
A possible solution is in my book REINVENTING DEMOCRACY. It's in print, e-book, and pdf, the pdf is only £1.99 from https://payhip.com/b/x0ZQq
2,700 objectively peaceful "terrorists" have been arrested?
By a wilfully lawless "police" force?
By the command of nakedly traitorous "British" ministers?
The same ministers that are lying to the British public about being covertly complicit in the illegal war of aggression against Iran...
... which now includes Trump threatening to block any ship that Iran is willing to let through...
... which ensures that the Strait of Hormuz will be fully blocked, in the name of unblocking the strait...
... because white-supremacy, yada yada, brown people are "crazy bastards."

Hypothetically speaking, what would happen if someone posted on Facebook that they supported P. Action?
people have been arrested for this
Yes, if the police felt like it. Many people have been prosecuted in the UK for online posts.
"2,700 people have now been detained under terrorism legislation for holding signs or attending silent vigils." I hope every one of those 2,700 people has complained to their MP.

He's been an asset lately, and I'll take it. Who else has cornered Mike Huckabee and Ted Cruz like he has? Answer: no one.
The UK’s downfall began when Charlie was installed into power.
You mean QEII was a socialist revolutionary? Wow. How did I miss that?
