The F-35 is a joke, a $2.2 TRILLION USD joke. One sold by the Congressional-Military-Industrial Complex snake-oil salesmen. It is being ‘paid for’ with money borrowed on the backs of U.S. taxpayers.
The F-35 is not in theater as the primary aircraft because the potential results would expose how badly that whole program has actually gone. The F-35 does very little of what it was supposed to do well. There are not enough serviceable F-35s to perform the mission. It has proven to be a bottomless pit of unforeseen failures, endless maintenance problems, and escalating costs. If U.S. aircraft design, development, and production during WWII had followed a similar trajectory, we would all be speaking German or Japanese today.
In light of all the bluster, it is telling that U.S. aircraft are being destroyed both in the air and on the ground. We were reminded and assured that the Iranian threat environment — air defenses, drones, missiles, the whole package — was nothing more than a mish-mash of crappy Iranian, Russian, and Chinese equipment, supposedly wiped off the map early on. And yet U.S. aircraft are still taking losses, both in the air and on the ground.
How much more BS do we need to swallow before we choke to death?
