Based on what I have read so far halfway through this article, I can almost assure you that the election that ushered in a Boris Johnson landslide for the Tories was rigged.

Durov's setup has sticky little CIA fingerprints all over it, but he's just the most recent in a line that goes back at least as far as Dominique Strauss-Khan. In fact, the presence or absence of smear is a good clue to the political allegiance of the victim. And yes to the desirability of evicting the obsolete and unhelpful "left/right" bipolarity. Anti-establishment is good. I tend to use "neo-feudal" based on Peter Drahos' excellent book "Information feudalism in the information society"
How about this for a "bad" joke - The Democratic Party, not forgetting its minions the British Labour Party. The lies and sickening hypocrisy begin with their names.
Macron’s party didn’t win, but no party did. The seats were split between the NFP (which is a coalition of left-wing parties), the presidential party (it changed names so many times I lost track) and the far right. If the NFP had been a clear winner he wouldn’t have a choice but to appoint a PM from that party. But the fact that there’s no clear majority is giving Macron an opportunity to draw in the grey areas and he’s fully taking advantage of it.
With that said, I agree with you: the fact that the so-called center would rather ally with the right and far right than the left speaks volumes. Also, the fact that Macron and his party position themselves as the centrists when they have such far-right policies all around would be laughable if it weren’t destroying our country.
My understanding wasn’t a clear majority because last minute Macron asked his supporters to switch sides. In fact, it probably was a part of his plan because he knew that he would not win a snap election If I remember correctly, and I don’t remember the party… But one party had less of the popular vote, but one more seats… Well, another party had had more of the popular vote and less seats.
Not that I know of - but surely a truth cannot be said too often ? And so many still find this statement shocking . I thought it made perfect sense when she said it altho' it annoyed my father . And I won't go into his politics !
