What this home secretary wants to implement sounds exactly like what Mr. Orwell warned us about in 1984, it is like Big Brother and thought crime being made manifest. Wouldn't surprise me if an office called the Ministry of Truth arises sometime soon. Her circular "logic" that to defend one's liberties by removing them through extensive government surveillance makes no sense at all. I hope there can be enough pushback against these digital IDs to prevent their implementation.
Years ago, Chrisopher Lasch wrote a book called Amusing ourselves to death - which as the title implied, citizens ( and I am guilty )- who should be out in the streets a la the French Revolution overturning their out of control governments, are at home playing with another toy meant to amuse. I love all of the comments pages but they are a poor substitute for revolting in the streets. I am older than dirt so my energy level isnt what it used to be but my birthday is on Bastille Day and I am ready to revolt.

Having supposedly withdrawn the threat of compulsory National ID cards, the government are now trying to introduce a similar system by the back door, with the support of their friends in Big Tech such as Palantir. You are right to highlight the Israeli connections of these unaccountable companies, where their early surveillance capabilities were developed and field tested.
Focussing on children to start the take up is the thin end of the wedge. We have seen in the US how ICE have been abducting young children to force parents to surrender. We have also seen that TikTok has updated its information gathering with no privacy guaranteed, and that Palantir have been disclosing information from their trove of legitimately collected medical and other public service records to ICE and others to support “track and trace” of non-criminals.

In order for Empire to maintain its totalitarian world order it requires the total subordination of Earth’s people. Only now with the Automation and control of natural language processing can it do this. Note, it is not Artificial Intelligence but the production of Artificial Information; to condition and subvert the will of all resistance to it.
