The ‘rules-based order’ is that the US makes the rules, gives the orders, and that the rules apply only to whatever countries the US chooses. The ICC was designed to be a part of a world order based upon universally recognized international law. That world order- to the extent it ever existed- does not exist today. The ICC should suspend all of its activities and release all defendants from all charges brought against them. As it is, the Court is clearly nothing more than an enabling agent of the victor’s justice of the victorious US empire.
Trump will fail in owning the ICC. We should be asking why this corrupt sick deranged person is afraid of doing time for any crime. He won’t because it will be delayed in every court until he’s confined or dead.
