A Belgium-based advocacy group on Tuesday announced it “filed an unprecedented and historic complaint with the International Criminal Court against 1,000 Israeli occupation forces soldiers for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Gaza,” where more than 150,000 Palestinians have been killed or wounded and millions more displaced, starved, and sickened by Israel’s yearlong onslaught.

I've experienced both the NHS and American healthcare services and the NHS is far superior. The first question asked in a British hospital is 'How may we help you?' and not 'How're you paying for this?' like it is here in the US. In Britain a patient consults with a healthcare professional who decides on a course of treatment. In the US that decision is made by insurance agents, who often deny payment for treatment on purely spurious grounds, meaning the patient either goes without or pays out of pocket. Nobody in the UK goes bankrupt due to an injury or illness. Nobody in the UK dies because treatment is withheld, or they can't afford medicines - as happened to three people I knew. The British people must fight like hell to preserve the NHS and roll back the insidious corporate takeover no matter which party is in government.
