To say I am disappointed with the coverage of this issue by the BBC is a gross understatement. It seems they have picked sides by going heavily after Andrew the disgraced and Mandelson, but oh dear God, let’s not talk about Trump.
For a news outlet that prides itself for being impartial? I cannot see any form of impartiality there.
On my plebeian view, the only reason they are not digging deeper on Trump is because they are scared of pointing the finger at him and finding themselves in another court battle, which is to be fought with taxpayers money.
I can’t speak for the population however when I think of so much money that goes into causes I do not support and even more that streams into the pockets of the elite and its associates I think it is a fight worth fighting to report the truth and not be completely swayed and turn into a British version of Fox News.
Dimitri Shostakovich never accused the Supreme Soviet of oppression or manipulation, because they would understand his objections in a way that could negatively affect him.
He wrote a symphony instead, and, if they understood that, they never said so.
End of Empire is populated by monsters of an elite wealth class who ride the collapsing wreckage down to the rubble, expecting the bottom to be pay dirt. Such are the corporate elite of media who champion the worst to align as best with the remaining power of Empire.
The process of dying in an animal is the same process in dying Empire, with the spasms of reaction to lost senses and lost ability, the voiding of the offal as the body shuts down. Even the corporate media plays its role as the calming dream state of death, welcoming the monsters of failed struggle to a phantom universe where the failures are touted as victories.
Then they are gone.
And we the people remain to clean up the remains and build anew.
However, the Empire will give way to the corporate state, with Freedom Cities designed to rule the masses behind electronic fences and laws shaped by the billionaire tech class of artificial humanness, artificial society, and artificial intelligence.
There is no profit (tithe) in reporting the truth in a corporate media milieu.
We the People must and have duty to harvest the truth from a free media on the run, from the banned and threatened journalists who eschew corporate affiliation at all costs, and who see the replacement of justice with the immoral favoritism to the powerful and the wealthy.
These days of media lies are the battle of the fields of truth.
The BBC has really sunk into the pits of faux journalism. I doubt they'll ever be able to regain their sterling reputation. But then again, neither will Trump or anyone else named in the Epstein files.
King Charles III of Britain must have understood some the Epstein files as being more believable than his countrymen at the BBC. He did, after all, strip his bother, the former Prince Andrew aka known as “Randy Andy” of his various titles, compelled him to surrender his honors, and evicted him from the Royal Lodge.
I think he did that not because of what his brother had done, but because of what he did would do to the royal family. After all, the king doesn't have jurisdiction to punish; only to protect.
Totally agree with Ricky on the BBC editorial bias. I have near given up on the BBC as a news source, the bias especially re Trump is obsequious, servile and often simply so biased as to be untrue.
"The Epstein files contain dozens of accusations of rape and paedophilia against Trump, and while a lawyer might argue not every accusation is truthful, or comes from an Epstein victim, the BBC’s framing is still obscene.” This does not imply, for Charter or for any other reason that the BBC can preface all their commentary with obscurantism. Trump is a narcissistic villain, by any meaningful standard and, whilst observing norms of nomenclature, he should be called out with facts at every opportunity.
I suppose the fact that Trump's suing the BBC might have something to do with it. The news and current affairs is the territory of Robbe Gibb who's a Zionist like Epstein might also have something to do with it. Shame on the BBC they're destroying themselves which is such a shame because all they other area are brilliant.
Very good question.
Why is Starmer throwing Mandelson under the bus and inviting Trump to tea? Same club members, different rules?

Sure but I was thinking more of a payment strike to draw attention to the BBC’s Zionist/right wing bias
Who is calling the Donald a liar?

I am sure you are correct, Andrew’s associations with Epstein would at least embarrass the royal family and greatly damage their reputation.

I really wish & hope that the truth and the whole truth comes out.
No more redaction, no more cover ups, no more lies - if they did it they did it!
It's because the BBC doesn't want to be sued.
